Summary: Sasori died, Deidara moved on, and got a new partner. In a new life that wasn’t supposed to be: Sasori gets sealed off edo tensei, Deidara gets upset, and meets the person behind the mask of “Tobi”. (History repeats itself in absurd ways, Sasori/Deidara/Obito.)
ch. 1, about ~1,600 words
Gen, the pairing hints are just… hints.

Excerpt:
It had become a joke between them when training together, ‘how long do we spar until Sasori takes his shirt off’. Deidara knows he’s one of the few who can stand equal with Sasori and still live. Sasori taking off his cloak is a good sign – it meant this fight is getting serious. Deidara’s own mesh shirt is already torn in places from dodging puppets wielding blades, so he just takes it off and starts fighting shirtless.
He’d release his bombs, avoid the puppets as much as possible and aim for Sasori.
Usually, though, he’s the one who ends up unconscious from a well-aimed poisoned needle.
‘tsundoku’ - the Japanese word for buying books & not reading them, leaving them to pile up.
I have this. I still have piles of unread books bought from a thrift-store book-buying frenzy from 2008 to 2010. I now have a Kindle and I keep on being distracted with shiny e-books than my dust-covered bookshelves. I have a goal of finishing all my paper books, though. But it seems it will take me a lifetime!
I… ship them, too.
I totally admire KabuShizu
